Grand Theft Auto 3 App Reviews

This game was my favourite growing up and Im happy to say that it ages well. Good purchase all together.

I was contemplating on whether or not to pick up an old PS2 and this game to take my back 10 years. This is the $14 Dollar Alternative, and still provides the same feelings. I remember this game and it feels just great to play it! Something to do on a Plane as I will prove to myself in the coming Weeks. Think about it. $25 or more gets you a New Movie which will kill maybe an hour and a half (Unless its really good and you watch it a few times) Or purchase this game and be able to kill Hours on end (ie: on the Plane!) ANd it will only set you back a Grand Total of Fourteen Dollars and Ninety-Nine Pennies. Well Worth it!

I really wish the screen resoultion would actually fit the screen on my 13inch macbookpro….. Great game overall brings back many memories

The game is great i love it BUT there are 2 issues that are annoying, 1 very annoying the other not so. THE AUDIO - The audio in the car (radio stations) is unclear and had a very annoying hiss to it. You spend a lot of time in the car so u can imagine how annoying this can be, Also some of the background noise hisses. but the radio stations, terrible. Should be amazing quality.. Jumping out of the car - if u are driving fast and decide to ditch the car, u would imagine that you would press exit and jump out of the car, but in this game pressing such buttons will lead the car into a full slam of the handbrake and once it has come to a complete stop, the guy will step out.. Ok the second point though less annoying and more livable than the first, its still not cool. the original game had all this. Please update soon, it would be 5 stars if the above is fixed. regards

this GTA is not working fluently on my mac!!! but everything works almost perfectly but, i cant change my screen resulution and not works fluently? i Have a newest Macbook. did anybody can solve my problem???

The game itself is awesome but I can only give it four stars because it has some problems. Once in a while everything goes blurry and the whole game slows down to a snails pace. Another thing that would also really improve the game, is a map of liberty city itself that is acessible in game so i can actually know how to get around instead of wander aimlessly. And finaly please fix the brutal audio it is quite annoying and it takes away from the enjoyment of the game. Please fix all these things and the game will be perfect but untill then i can only give it 4 stars.

Amazing game one of my favourite, good graphics, good distances drawing, smooth graphics even with all settingd cranked. Only problem is all the radio stations except for "the Game" have a hissing sound in, small enough to by pass but still an issue needed to be delt with. Great job Rockstar, MAX PAYNE NEXT!!

This is a really cool game, I like it a lot. This and Vice City. I notice something similar on both games however. I ran this on my core 2 duo macbook pro and my i7 macbook pro and the game lags a bit. When I mean lag, it doesnt lag during gameplay, but it freezes every once in a while (more frequently on the core 2 duo) and not for a short period. Usually 3 seconds. The core 2 duo I can understand, but the i7. Come on, thats like the most up to date processor available to MacBooks. Please fix this.

Great Game, Finally for Mac ...

It turns out this is not a re-engineered port of the old Windows version to the Mac, but rather an exact copy of all the Windows files wrapped in a Cider package. Cider invisibly translates all the Windows stuff to Mac stuff on-the-fly as needed, and it does a pretty good job. The game runs extremely well on my 2010 27" i7 iMac with 8GB ram at full 2560x1440 resolution on OS 10.7 Lion. The most glaring problem Ive noticed is that the sound quality is horribly compressed. It just sounds awful compared to the original CD version from 2001. The same is true with the other GTA titles on the Mac App Store. Clearly, this compression was intended to make the game download from the Store as small and quick as possible. Im not sure that was a good decision, though, considering people are fine with downloading other games on the Store which are several gigabytes in size, whereas GTA 3 is only three quarters of a gigabyte — most people would not have a problem sparing an extra half hour or so downloading to have a decent sound experience. I hope the developers update these GTA games with the original sound files in the future. There was also an issue Ive been having with the gun target in the center of the screen. Except for the rocket launcher and sniper rifle, which use their own targeting systems, it seems all the other guns shoot above and to the right of the target marker. Perhaps the target marker needs to be moved up and to the right. Either way, its something that should be fixed. Other than these points, the game is exactly as I remember it from years ago and its still very fun to re-play, especially considering how much the GTA series has changed since.

this game is just crap from all points of views, it has horrible graphics, horrible storylines and unrealistic things. unreasonable price

On my old iMac 2007 - core duo 2,4 ghz, this game works fine. But on my newer MBA 1,7 ghz intel core 7, the fan is constantly running. Weird… Also, after all the hype surrounding the game, I decided to give it a try to see by myself. I have to say I find this game pretty boring so far.

I cant get this to download… Can I get help or a refund?

Problem with mouse cursor (OS X Lion) - the "arrow" stays on screen all the time.
